In 1995, God’s Gift took an outright victory at the Southern 80 with a record time of 32:38. This marked the team’s first win in what would become a longstanding rivalry with Gotta Be Crazy. Featuring 1999 S80 winner Showdown, this is a reproduction of our first design to feature The Guru. This 21ft Connelly Craft twin rig outboard is legendary in its own right, still holding the Southern 80 Unlimited Outboard Expert record (1995 -  33:42). In 1996, Gotta Be Crazy took their 2nd outright victory at the Southern 80 with a record time of 32:33. The team from North Queensland knocked 5 seconds off of the record set a year earlier by God’s Gift. This win marked a defining moment in what was a renowned rivalry between the two boats.  Now you can memorialise the nostalgia of 90’s racing with our Heritage Southern 80 1997 Gotta Be Crazy range.
